Anh Vu

BSc. Media Informatics, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München

Anh is a research intern with the Urban Informatics Research Lab and CARRS-Q, working on her master thesis as part of the project Risky Gadgets to the Rescue: Designing Personal Ubicomp Devices to Foster Safer Driving Behaviours in Young Males. Her work involves designing and developing a smartphone app for encouraging safe driving behavior. Her main task is to assess the effectiveness and user experience of engaging in-car app concepts, previously developed within the project in a naturalistic study, ultimately developing an application to playfully assist drivers during the adaption of driving electric cars.

Before joining the Urban Informatics Lab, Anh co-developed the app for “Phonestudy”, a joint project between the Chair of Media Informatics and the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Munich aiming at exploring correlations between smartphone usage and personality traits.

Prior she has gained experience in Android app development in other start-ups and at the LMU Entrepreneurship Centre.
